  1. Setting up an account in EBIS Employee Benefits Information System

Go to www.abc.army.mil (Army Benefits Center, serves both Army and Air Force Technicians) • EBIS is a Self-Service web-based application that allows technician employees access many helpful tools as well as make benefit elections and changes. • The Site map offers a source of links to any questions you may have Link to EBIS

  3. Access requires a CAC and CAC reader • For a new user, enter your temporary PIN, your two digit month and the last two digits of your year of birth (MMYY) click New User. • You will then set a new six digit PIN which will be used in the future when logging on. Enter your SSN and temporary PIN New User

  4. Personal overview of your benefits including, Service Computation Date, Retirement, Insurance, Social Security, TSP, death and disability Retirement and TSP Calculators Elect, Change, or view your FEHB, TSP, and FEGLI 4. and 5. Informational seminars and other helpful information 1 2 3 4 5

  5. Transactions • FEHB elections and changes must be during New Hire 60 day window, Open Season, or a Qualifying Life Event (loss of other coverage, marriage, birth of a child…) Ensure you complete all the steps after choosing enroll or change including PROCESS TRANSACTION • TSP changes can be made at anytime, new hires are automatically enrolled at 3% • FEGLI you are automatically enrolled in Basic, add options within 60 day new hire window.
