Self – Control & Emotional Intelligence • Definition Self Control • Control of one’s emotions, desires, or actions by one’s own will. • Definition of Emotional Intelligence • The ability to perceive and understand personal feelings and those of others. • We must know ourselves (self-awareness) • What make you angry, sad, fearful, frustrated, tearful? • What makes you happy, joyful, excited, peaceful? • How do we react to our emotions and control them?

Brave • (OUTWARD) (You do not show fear in body language, speech, emotions, actions) • Definition of Brave: Function: Adjective (Action) • Meaning: feeling or displaying no fear by temperament. • Synonyms: courageous, fearless, greathearted, heroic, lionhearted, • Related Words: determined, firm, undeterred, unflinching, spirited, adventuresome, adventurous, bold, daring, dashing, gutsy, crazy, daredevil, overconfident, thoughtless, comforted, encouraged, reassured, unafraid • Near Antonyms: Scary, shy, timid, anxious, apprehensive, nervous; cautious,; afraid, disturbed, frightened, horrified, panicked, scared, shocked, spooked, startled, terrified, terrorized, upset; concerned, dismayed, worried, chicken, chickenhearted, coward, cowardly, fainthearted, fearful. • If you are not brave, bullies will detect it.
