    2. Repblica Militar (1964-1985) O golpe militar (31/03/1964): Combater a corrupo e a subverso (comunismo). A interveno militar era anunciada como passageira: golpe, limpeza e retorno aos quartis. O Ato Institucional n 1 (AI-1): que estabelecia eleies indiretas para o prximo Presidente da Repblica e dava ao Executivo Federal, durante seis meses, poderes para cassar mandatos, suspender direitos polticos, modificar a constituio e decretar o estado de stio.
