Usually, people, while travelling to Greece, consider staying at its most prominent islands i.e. Corfu and Paxos, but the villa at the city centre during peak season will surely take away all your budget even more. Thus, it is advisable to have compiled a few ways that will help you save a bit of your budget while choosing villas to rent. Let’s have a look: Directly book with owners: Once you have finalized a property to stay, ensure that you cut the cost of the tour operators and agents, avoiding their markups. Even there are chances of the property being wrong and not similar to the ones you have seen in pictures and in such a case you cannot blame the agents or the tour operators. Thus, it is always beneficial to make bookings via the owner or the official website so as to ensure you make valuable bookings. Book rentals for days other than weekends: Obviously if you’ll make villa bookings for a weekend stay, it will cost you higher as the prices rise during weekends and peak holiday season. Also, weekend flights are costlier. Plan your holiday when you have weekday flights or weekday check-in check-out for a fair rent deal. Look for a property with a shared pool: Always try looking for a villa accommodation that offers a shared pool that will massively cost cheaper as compared to the villa offering a private pool for each villa booked. Though you may have less privacy but its okay when you are there with a group. Check reviews and then book: Ensure that the villa property you are thinking to rent for your accommodation during your holiday does not include any hidden charges and also do not involve any risks. For this, you can consider checking the reviews by its past clients so as to evaluate whether it has top value for money rentals or not. Before booking, do not forget to consider the reviews. Haggle/negotiate: If you are good at it, ensure that you negotiate with the owner while booking at the last moment so as to eliminate the cost of the tour operator and agents involved in between as middleman. This will help you reduce the possible cost allowing you to use the remaining budget to enjoy for more. Look for a large property: Travelling in groups? Look for villas to rent in Greece that can accommodate all of you under one roof. This will not only reduce your per head cost but will also double your enjoyment. If you are a group that can fill all the beds in the villa reach out to the best property you have found. You can find the best properties to stay in Corfu and Paxos. Whether you are looking for a villa in any of the posh location or you are thinking of accommodation at a hideaway far from the city centre with utmost privacy and serenity, ensure that you keep in mind the budget and negotiate with the owner as much as possible to fix the deal at the best price.
