  3. Mask • The paintball mask is the most important piece of equipment you have while playing paintball. • While on the field NEVER take off your mask. NEVER!!! The field is hot at all times. • Make sure the mask is secured firmly on your face. • If your mask should come off while playing assume the fetal position and cover your head and yell “My mask is off” over and over. A referee will assist you in stopping the game and getting your mask on and you off the field because you’re out if your mask comes off.

  4. Gun Safety • While in the pits, always have a barrel sock on your gun and make sure that your gun is turned off. • Do not come off the field without putting your barrel sock on and turning off your gun and pull the trigger to make sure your gun is safe. • While at rest do not point your gun at anyone. • You must chronograph your gun at 300 feet per sec (fps) or below.

  5. General Field Rules • Only take off your barrel sock and turn on your gun after you walk on the field. • You must chronograph your gun before every set of games. • Do not shoot over the net. • If someone’s mask should come off while playing, stop shooting and yell cease fire until everyone has stopped shooting.

  6. General Field Rules (continued) • If you are hit by a paintball and it breaks you are out, raise your gun in the air and yell “HIT” and walk to the dead box. If you are hit with a paintball and it doesn’t break you are not out. • Be honest!! If you are shot and it breaks please DO NOT wipe off the hit and keep playing. This is cheating and it takes the fun out of the game. • The most important rule of them all is have fun. • You will start every game from the dead box. The barrel of your gun must be touching the dead box, there will be a five second count down and then the game will start.

  10. Tank • The HPA (High Pressure Air) tank or CO2 tank is what causes the gun to operate. • The tank screws into the ASA in the back of the gun. • When filled the tank is under extreme pressure up to 4500psi. • The more psi (Pounds per Square Inch) in your tank the more shots you will get out of a tank. • HPA is much more consistent, cheaper, and easier on the gun than CO2. • HPA tanks range in price from $100-$250.
