Geography • Tropical rainforests are located around the equator where temperatures stay near 80 degrees year round. • Rainforests receive 160 to 400 inches of rain each year. • Rainforests cover less than two percent of the Earth's surface. • Rain falls nearly every day. The temperature during the day is around 30ºC - 35ºC. At night it drops to between 20ºC - 25ºC.

  3. Bengal Tiger • Weigh about 240 to 500 pounds • Live about 8 to 10 years • Can eat up to 60 pounds of meat • There diet is buffalo, deer, wild pigs and other large animals • Females have 2 to 6 cubs , take care of them for 2 to 3 years before they leave her

  4. King Cobra • Live in trees, land, and water • Single bite can kill 20 people or and elephant • build nest for eggs • Guards the eggs until the babies hatch • Eats other snakes (venomous and nonvenomous, lizards, eggs, and small mammals • Live about 20 years and can get 13 feet long

Meteorology (weather)and human influences • How much does it rain, about 8 ft to14 ft • Most rainforests are located near the equator • The Highest levels of radiation are here • A similar environment is the clouded forest • Some threats are : -Logging (biggest threat) -People cleaning out the forest means more pollution .

  7. Botany(plant life) • Vanilla is the only orchid that is grown for purposes other than its flowers. It is native to Mexico and was introduced into Europe in the mid 16th century by the Spanish. • Black pepper and hot pepper, which are not closely related. Black pepper is in India and Cambodia and was the spice that above all drove the spice trade.
