The Engineering Professors' Council (EPC), chaired by Prof. Fred Maillardet, focuses on promoting excellence in engineering higher education. In 2003/4, the EPC prioritized developing output standards, addressing The Mathematics Problem, and improving committee operations. Collaborations with professional bodies, such as the Royal Academy of Engineering, aim to maintain a high public profile and establish new awards for contributions to engineering education. New working groups have been initiated to tackle communications and admissions, alongside ongoing efforts to enhance postgraduate research standards and funding proposals.
