High-Accuracy Noise Generator with DSP Implementation and Fixed-Point Arithmetic

This hardware implementation features ADSP-2181 DSP at 40MHz for digital noise generation and analog output through 14-bit, 300kHz D/A conversion. LabVIEW Solutions used for development offer easy upgrade in accuracy and speed. The system enables flexible 1/f α noise generation with limited precision and saturation algorithm interrupt. It allows for optimising filter coefficients with a focus on exploiting the numerical range efficiently. Features flexible control options: host computer controlled or stand-alone operation.
