Honorable Death • Example: Aeneas decides to fight and he does not fear death because it is honorable to die in battle • Today: People are honor those who die in the military. • Example: They give flags to the family members at the funeral of the honorable soldiers who died.
God controls fate • Example: When the Greeks brought the Trojan horse into Troy. • Today: Many people who are religious believe that everything happens for a reason. • Example: dimes and pennies from heaven.
It is not manly to harm/kill a woman • Example: Aeneas wanted to kill Helen but Venus told him that it was not manly to kill a woman. • Today: In todays society it is frowned upon and illegal to abuse a woman. This is a very serious crime called domestic violence. • Example: When a man gets arrested and sent to jail for abusing a woman.
