When autumn comes ladybirds find it hard to find food so they find a sheltered spot where they can hide from the cold weather. 7 spot ladybirds hide under leaf litter, dead grasses or stones. 2 spot ladybirds are the ones you might find hibernating inside your house. They hide in cracks round window frames, in lofts or under loose tiles but you might also find them under the loose bark of a dead tree.
