  2. Indirect Measurement Similar Triangles can be used to solve for inaccessible distances. To measure indirectly, ratio and proportion can be used.

  3. Indirect Measurement MIRROR METHOD  Example: How do you measure the height of a flagpole? So which triangles are similar? Triangles are similar by AA Similarity Postulate. Incoming angle Outgoing angle mirror

  4. Indirect Measurement SHADOW METHOD  Sun’s rays are parallel. Person’s height is measurable. Shadow’s length is measurable. Which triangles are similar? Why? Triangles are similar by AA Similarity Postulate.
