  13. Formulating outcomes • Be specific • Express what had already been achieved • ….improved • ….strengthened • ….increased Example: Institution XX capable to provide YY service; or from user perspective: Patients receive improved radiation treatment.

  14. Formulating outputs • Be even more specific • A tangible item that is qualified (described) • A noun qualified by a positive verb. • Examples: • An energy database is established • A draft regulation is submitted to Council NN • A collection of germ plasma is available

  15. Formulating activities • Stated as actions to be performed • Usually starts with a verb • Examples: • Collect energy demand data for the database • Drafta safety regulation for XX process • Train laboratory staff in YY technique
