  15. What you need to do now! • Choose one social networking site • Take time to make it presentable • Start inviting friends, colleagues • Update your status periodically, unless you’re on Twitter • Include your LinkedIn, or Twitter link on emails, resumes, etc.

  16. Don’ts • Join a site if you’re not committed • Include too much personal information • Friend people who may not like you or are loose cannons • Constantly hit people up for jobs, career advice, or to sell your products or services

  18. It’s not oxygen Your life will not end because you’re not signed up with LinkedIn, or Twitter. I promise. Real human contact is still the networking gold standard
