Enhancing Membership Engagement and Outreach for Young AFCEANs

The Young AFCEAN (YAC) initiative aims to foster camaraderie among current and potential members, enhancing connections within the Chapter membership. Major activities include visits to military units and industry partner facilities to explore military technologies and business practices. Supporting outreach events, particularly at Ft. Eustis and Ft. Monroe, promotes engagement with businesses and military commands. The focus will be on recognizing member activities and recruitment of new Young AFCEANs and enlisted members. Assistance is needed for legal support and marketing strategies.

  1. Description: foster membership and camaraderie amongst the YAC, potential YAC members, and the Chapter membership at large. • Major Activities: • Visit military units of interest to C4/IT • Tour military facilities, units, or equipment to broaden general perspective of the US militaryand relationships to C4/IT • Visit industry partner facilities, laboratories to explore technologies and business practices of the military-industry complex. • Supporting Chapter Objective(s) • Perform five chapter outreach events (including both small and large businesses, and military commands) – with emphasis on Ft Eustis and Ft Monroe outreach. • Recognize activities, awards, and volunteers of members to promote member cohesiveness. • Focus our recruitment on key target audiences such as new Young AFCEANs and Enlisted members.
