CONVENCION DEL METRO La Convención del Metro o Tratado del Metro, del 20 de mayo de 1875,es un tratado internacional que estableció tres organizaciones para atender lo relativo a la preservación de los estándares del sistema métrico.Realizado entre 51 naciones las cuales le dan autoridad a la Conferencia General de Pesos y Medidas (Conférence Générale des Poids et Mesures, CGPM), al CIPM y al BIPM como entes reguladores respecto a temas metrológicos mundiales. La convención creó tres organizaciones principales: La Conferencia General de Pesos y Medidas (CGPM). El Comité Internacional de Pesos y Medidas (CIPM).
