  5. The 1st Imperial Hotel • The 1st Imperial Hotel was • built Yuzuru Watanable • It was standing from 1890-1919 • Accidentally burned down

  6. Facts • There was a 1st and 3rd Imperial Hotel in the same area, but Wright only built the 2nd • Took about 5 years to build (on History slide) • The 2nd Imperial Hotel survived an earthquake. • Built in Mayan Revival Style. Wright usually uses Prairie Style.

  7. Description • Made of oya stone,cement,and cement block • Made of pyramids and some rectangles • Rough • Green and gray

  8. History • Built 1963-1968 took about 5 years to build • The hotel residents lived there. • Part of the lobby and part of the pool were donated to the Meiji Mura Museum

Recommendation • Yes, I do like this house because the lobby looked like t had a skyscraper in its center. • I do think this house is art because there are many different colors, textures, and shapes. I only listed a few of those. • I would like to be in a hotel room for a vacation in Tokyo, but I wouldn’t want to live there because I think I might get lost without thee hotel signs because it’s so big.
