  4. The Multiplication Property of Equality states that the two sides of an equation remain equal when you multiply each side by the same number. Example: a = -9 -4 a -4 (-4) = (-9) (-4) a = 36

  5. Whiteboard time: -8y = 24 ÷ -8 ÷ -8 y = -3

  6. Whiteboard time: 30 = 6x ÷ 6 ÷ 6 x = 5
