Participants and roles • funded and coordinated by the Swedish Royal Library´s Department for National Co-ordination and Development, BIBSAM • carried out in close collaboration between nine Swedish university libraries and the National Library • five workpackages, lead by Lund University Libraries and Uppsala University Library Uppsala universitet

WP 1: Interoperability • Harmonisation of descriptions and description formats for electronically published scientific publications. • Based on problems discovered in a pilot study of an OAI compliant portal (2002). • Less problem today because of e.g. DiVA. • Still to do: subject categories, publication type definitions, and name authorities.
