A One Person Band

The Mayday Fund is a small family foundation dedicated to alleviating suffering caused by physical pain. Our mission focuses on providing charitable grants that target pain management at the bedside, particularly in emergency medicine, for children, non-verbal populations, and the elderly. We aim to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice in pain treatment, increase public awareness about the undertreatment of pain, and foster new leaders in the field. By offering nimble grants and advocating for responsible pain treatment, we work collaboratively with other foundations to improve care.

Foundation Citizenship • Increase public awareness about the undertreatment of pain and new ways of treating it • Help to provide new leaders in the field interested in sharing the message that pain may be treated responsibly • Increase the ranks of researchers/leaders who will work with the media and policy makers • Working with other foundations to help to address the better treatment of pain
