Language points One refers to the type of listening practice which we do when learning a foreign language. refer to “指的是”，“指……而言” What I said just now wasn't referring to you. What does the phrase “valuable information” refer to? I know the teacher was referring to Jack when he spoke of a bright boy. These sentences do not refer to the cause, but to the results.

Language points First , take turns to listen . 首先 轮流做听众。 take turns“依次，轮流”后常接不定式、at＋ing或 直接加-ing 。 表示“轮流”的介词词组有 in turn 和 by turns 。 The family members took turns to look after the patient. take turns to watch over the baby = take turns (at) watching over the baby = watch over the baby in turn = watch over the baby by turns .
