  3. TARGETED SPORT CODES • Athletics • Aquatics • Cricket • Football • Netball • Rugby

  4. 1st Quarter April – June 2011 • Athletes participating on a weekly basis in CDP Activities • 967 males • 112 females • 91 Clubs maintained • Touwpark Netball Club - 4 female and 2 male athletes selected to represent Boland Central Netball Federation • Citrus Netball Club – 3 athletes selected for the West Coast Netball Federation • Bitou Netball Club – 2 athletes were selected to represent the SWD Federation • Olympics Netball Club -1 athlete selected to represent the SWD Netball Federation

  6. Highlights Education & Training • 4 Basic Admin Courses • 2 Coaching Courses • 4 Technical Courses

  7. Job Creation Opportunities • Appointed 3 additional staff members in the Club Development Unit. • Recruited 1 student for internship (CPUT) • Catering suppliers for all events • Training service providers • Equipment procurement • Transport service providers

  8. How do clubs apply? • Applications can be sent directly to DCAS, through Regional offices, Federations and Sports Councils. • Opening 1 Dec – Closing 28 Feb

Unplanned Activities Mandela Day 18 July 2011 • DCAS in conjunction with the City of Cape Town, Atlantis • The purpose of the event was to dedicate 67 Minutes of your time to help those in need. • 43 Attendees • Pella RFC, Mamre RFC, Hamlets RFC, Atlantis RFC • Mamre CC, Atlantis CC • Atlantis LFA, Atlantis Netball Association
