Purpose: • To improve students’ vocational awareness, explore their interests and help them plan and prepare for the future occupation. It’s widely acknowledged that students in USA should receive this kind of education as soon as possible, particularly in primary school.

8. Career Resource Center@Universities • The Center provides services for students and alumni by assisting them to achieve career development/experiences/employment opportunities. The Resource Center offers numerous services • career counseling/workshops/advisement on future career options • help with resumes and portfolios, interviewing tactics, job searches and other potential leads for finding employment in the corporate, academic, or public sector.

11. Causes for Lack of Career Planning • From students’ perspective • Too much pressure from their studies : double major etc. • Highly involved in extracurricular activities: clubs & associations • Practical Majors ( Management, Media Studies) Less Practical Majors ( Humanities)
