Proposal for Revised Layout of Trigger/Splitter Boxes in ATLAS RPC System

This document discusses a proposed change to the layout of trigger and splitter boxes within the ATLAS RPC system, as presented at the INFN Lecce meeting on Nov. 5, 2002. We suggest reversing the BML-A chambers upside down and utilizing thick support panel #3 for mounting, as the boxes are positioned on the outer side of the outer layer. However, this approach does not apply to BMS-C, as their boxes are located on the inner side of the inner layer, similar to the few BMS-A configurations.

Electronics Boxes: a Change to the LAYOUT? F. Grancagnolo, R. Perrino INFN Lecce ATLAS-RPC Meeting / Roma, Nov. 5th, 2002.
PROPOSAL: since the boxes are placed on the outer side of the outer layer, we would reverse the BML-A chambers upside-down and use the thick support panel #3 to hook the boxes.
For the BMS-C* this does not apply, because the boxes are placed on the inner side of the inner layer. This is the same for the few BMS-A.
