What is Google? • Launched in 1999 • Competitor for struggling Internet search engines such as AltaVista and Yahoo • Vast proportion of Google’s revenue (97%) is derived from advertising • Google has introduced numerous products targeted at enterprise use since 2001 • Enterprise products have the effect of unbalancing Google’s competition
