I have been a leader in many positions I have held in my entire life, from school to college (both Bachelor’s and Master’s), and throughout my professional career Finance is my passion. LEAD PEOPLE MAKE THINGS HAPPEN Leader At Hindu College, one of the top five colleges in India for Economics, I was President of the Economics Society, and led a group of more than 150 students to organize a number of events, including an annual three-day Economics forum During my Master’s in Management at Goa Institute of Management, I was Head of the Organizing Committee of a national conference, leading a team of more than 100 students. I was also Chief Editor of the institute fortnightly newsletter At the Center for Science and Environment (New Delhi-based non-profit), conducted research work on unhygienic drinking water in rural areas close to Delhi. This was widely appreciated and cited by local media in stories on the subject Founded, and now lead the elite HSBC Special Projects Group (a group of 8 of the best Analysts at HSBC Bangalore research). EXCEL AT FINANCIAL ANALYSIS CREATE INSIGHTFUL RESESEARCH Academicachiever • Cleared the prestigious CFA and FRM exams in the first attempts in 2011 and 2010 respectively • Finished in the top 15% of the class in my Master’s of Management Program at Goa Institute of Management, India • Chosen for the prestigious HSBC Graduate Research Program (one of only four Analysts selected from more than 200) Top performer • Specialize in equity research and the Lead Analyst in charge of the Special Projects Group, an elite group of top analysts from different sectors, created through my initiative in 2012 • One of only five analysts (from more than 200) to win the Superstar of the Year award twice in the firm • Nominated to be in the top 100 of the firm’s Global Banking and Markets division (40000 employees globally). WORK HARD, PLAY HARDER CARE FOR THE SOCIETY Sportsman, debater, social volunteer, business consultant Play and follow a number of sports at a competitive level: • Played cricket at the club level in Delhi • Represented my school and college in intra-university soccer competitions • Member of the Bangalore motorsport club and regularly participate in karting competitions • An active member of the Quiz Society and the Debating Society in my undergraduate college and post-graduate institute • Voracious reader; a member of the Bangalore book club since 2010. Enjoy intellectual discussions with peers on diverse topics • Helped two friends conceptualize and set up their personal ventures as an independent consultant • This was not in conflict with my role at HSBC • Gave me key insight into setting up and running an entrepreneurial venture. This will be invaluable when I embark on my long term goal of owning an equity fund focused on emerging markets • Participated in the Oxfam Trailwalker to raise INR 50,000, which required a team to walk 100 km in 48 hours.
