  1. Meal Times • Skern Lodge’s 110-seater restaurant is at the centre of the site. • Every day will begin with a full cooked breakfast or range of cereals and toast if preferred. • They provide a wide range of fillings for packed lunches each day. • A selection of hot meals is available each night, with a vegetarian option always available. • There is also a salad bar during each meal time.

  2. Accommodation • Three accommodation blocks all provide the necessary space and security appropriate to a school residential. • Pine beds, full central heating, plenty of showers and excellent clothes drying facilities are essential after a full day on the river. • Staff rooms are located near to children’s dormitories, which accommodate between 4 and 10 children each. • Skern Lodge operates from an 18th century farm, with the addition of new buildings and modern facilities. • The Lodge is a comfortable and practical centre, which is reflected in its accommodation.

  3. What the Children Think • Our previous visits to Skern Lodge were a HUGE success. Even the most anxious of children had a wonderfully enjoyable time and all of our children and staff made great personal strides of which they are extremely proud. • “All of the instructors were very supportive and encouraged me to do many things that I never would have thought about attempting!” (Daniel Ped.) • “The activities were outstanding!   4. Payment • Skern Lodge provide a full programme of activities for our children. • This includes the instruction the hiring of all appropriate safety equipment, all meals and accommodation. • We anticipate the final, total cost of the residential to be around £330 inclusive. • We will be organising a payment schedule to allow for this amount to be paid in instalments.

  5. An Excellent Opportunity • This really is a great and exciting opportunity for your child to experience something totally different to their lives in school. • This year’s residential was highly successful and we are fortunate to have found a site that we can return to annually. It really is an opportunity of a lifetime that the children will forever remember.
