  4. The purpose of the eye piece is for viewing. The body is for properly holding and handling the microscope. The clip is used to hold the slides in place.

  5. The stage holds and supports the slide. The mirror controls the reflected light. The knob focuses the eyepiece.

The microscope has many pieces (components) that work together to allow us to view and observe objects with more detail • Field of view: The amount of the object you can see through the microscope (You cannot see the entire object because it is magnified) • A microscope has two lenses that are convex on one side
