What is eCornell? • Online e-Learning courses from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management • Instructor-Led, Interactive • Cohort Structure (classmates) • Asynchronous • 6-12 hour time commitment over two week period • 20+ courses in the areas of leadership development & management essentials

  4. eCornell Course Overview: Collaborative Learning

  5. Participant Requirements • While these are online courses, each student will belong • to a class, or cohort. This means that you complete • assignments with the class, have open discussions, • interact with the instructor, and even have office hours • with the instructor. The classes are done in an • asynchronous format which means students do not • have to be on the computer at a specific time. • There is LOTS of reading and LOTS of homework. An • average class takes 6-10 hours to complete. You can • expect that the instructor will RETURN your homework • and ask you to redo parts of it. The class takes place • over a specific time period (two weeks) and you • must complete your homework during that time. It's also • mandatory that you participate in the group discussions • and fill out a profile on yourself so you can interact with • your fellow students.

To offer this program, we must abide by usage guidelines • Conservation International hasaccess to 200 free seats/year foreCornell courses provided that: • 80% of the courses are taken by • employees who live in developing • countries (US & Australia employees • only eligible for 40 of 200 seats) • 80% completion rates for all courses • mustbe maintained or we will lose • the privilege of offering these free • of charge
