  2. The Idea… • Students work on team projects sponsored by UH, industry, and government. • We cover a variety of professional development topics, including... • …Communications skills (both written and oral). These are important to the success of any project, and will be emphasized.

  3. Organization • Team:Three or four students. • Cohort:Four to five teams with similar technical issues. • Guidance: Your project has been assigned to a • Faculty Advisor:A UH faculty member who will provide technical assistance. • Facilitator: A course instructor who will provide administrative assistance and grade your work.

  4. Your Responsibility • You and your team are responsible for the success of your project. You are expected to act professionally… • You show up on time for class, and for meetings with faculty and industry consultants. • You and your team decide what your responsibilities are. • Team Responsibility • Each team member is assigned specific tasks (project task analysis) • Team members communicate effectively • Individual Responsibility • Each team member must make sure they do what they are assigned, or get the assignment changed • End of Semester Team Evaluation • Each team member evaluates whether other team members did what they agreed to.
