This initiative addresses the critical nursing shortage by providing an alternative route into nursing for Band 2 Health Care Assistants. The programme, fully approved by NMC, offers a 2-year pathway with professional education funding, integrating practical placements and academic learning. Successful completion leads to a BSc in Nursing Studies, enhancing career prospects and supporting staff development. Entry requires a minimum of 12 months service, GCSE grades A-C, and full support from line managers. HCA contributions towards fees are welcomed.
