  3. Tips for Writing a Conclusion • It must start with the appropriate transition • Restate the thesis, or your opinion on the topic • Do NOT copy your thesis in the introduction • Rewrite the thesis using different words • Don’t relist your main ideas • Try to use an attention grabber in the end

  4. Attention Grabber Examples Offer a solution to the problem Make a prediction based on the effects a decision will have on the problem Ask the reader to take action or inspire the reader to take steps in stopping the problem

  5. Conclusion Example #1 In conclusion, bullying continues to negatively impact students in high school. Efforts the schools have put in to place to stop bullying is not working. Parents need to be more informed about this serious issue so that they can be aware of the signs at home. Without giving parents the necessary information and support will surely result in more teenage suicide.

  6. Conclusion Example #2 All in all, bullying is an issue that is still relevant in today’s high schools. The education and training to students and school staff is not enough! Bullying must be stopped! Many teenagers are still struggling daily with bullies while others are choosing death. Speak up and encourage your school to provide more education to parents before another young life is lost.
