In 2008 the economical depression hit Finland and Satakuntas unemployment number got higher , mostly with the ones working in manufactories . Since the beginning of 2010 the situation has got slightly better.

  2. The depression influenced Huittinen just the same as the whole Satakunta in 2008. The situationhasgot a littlebettersince the late 2009.

  3. Satakunta: economicstructure - In 2010 • Service sector: 60,6 % • Industrial sector: 34 % • Primarysector: 5,4 % • In future: The sector of bioeconomics and energywillgrow. Therewillbe big differencesbetweencommunities in Satakunta. Somewillsucceed, somedon’t.

  4. Huittinen: economicstructure - In 2010 • Service sector: 58,8% • Industrial sector: 27,8 % • Primarysector: 11,9 % • Others: 1,5 % - In future: willbedoingbetterthansomeareas. The servicesector and business willgrowthanks to goodlocation as a crossroad.
