  2. A camera is a device that records and stores images. • These images may be still photographs or moving images such as videos or movies. • The term “camera” comes from the Latin word, “dark chamber” an early mechanism for projecting images. ~ A little bit about Cameras! ~

  3. Daguerre type cameras of 1839 were produced by “Giroux” in Paris. They weighed 120 pounds each and cost 400 Francs. (about $50). ~ 1800’s Cameras ~

  4. The Seneca Camera! • It came in two variations: the cherry and brass model, and a less expensive model of light mahogany color with nickel plated steel parts. Brass Cherry ~ 1900’s Camera’s ~

  5. In the 2000’s cameras became way more efficient. • The people who made camera’s wanted to make, them smaller, and more mobile. • They also wanted it to take better pictures, with more colors, and less fuzzy. ~ 2000’s Camera’s !

  6. As we all know, Cameras have changed so much since the 1800’s! They have better mobility than in 1800,! ~ 2010 Camera’s ~

  8. Sir John Herschel, was the first to use the term "Photography.” • This was in 1839, the year the photographic process became public. ~ Time Line of Cameras! ~

  9. William Henry Talbot had an invention called the Collotype. • The Collotype produced a negative picture on paper. That means the lights were recorded as darks, and the darks as lights.
