  4. 1 Check! Check the tech! • Computers & headphones • Internet • Diagnostic Tool: http://www.cambridgeesol.org/tools/diagnostic/ • Bandwidth Checker: http://www.cambridgeesol.org/tools/bandwidth/ Even though the bandwidth check fails: test using the demo (more later)

  5. 2 Read! • Read all the instructions carefully! When this dialogue box appears during the test press the NO button! Click on the right button! (for the next question)

  6. 3 Listen! • Listen carefully! You only have 2 chances to listen to the audio. When listening to the audio, do NOT press the help button! Click on this button to go to the next question. BUT be sure!

  7. 4 Time! • Don’t look at the timer (too much) • Cannot go back and change answers 30 mins If the download status hangs for more than 1 minute, close the browser and restart the test (using the same token). You only finish the test when the screen displays: YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE TEST

  8. End! Do the demo!! • DO THE DEMO TEST! https://www.democpt.cambridgetest.org • The token: DEMCPTE1 • Why? Best indication of bandwidth and the types of items in the test • Participants who take the demo do better • Real test at: www.cpt.cambridgetest.org
