Introduction to x86 Computer Systems: Understanding Architecture and Programming

This course, taught by Prof. Taeweon Suh at Korea University, offers a comprehensive overview of x86-based general-purpose computer systems. It includes hands-on experience in x86 programming in assembly, exploring interrupt mechanisms, and utilizing virtualization technologies like Qemu/KVM. Prerequisites include COMP335, COMP211, and COMP169. The grading policy comprises midterm exams, class presentations, assignments, and a final project. The goal is to equip students with a solid foundation in computer systems architecture and practical programming skills.
