General contract signed Construction pit May-17, 2013 (phase 1, site preparation, contractor: Strabag) Size: 120 x 60 m Depth: 9 m • General contractor: consortium Metrostav, OHL ŽS, VCES • Laser hall (3 stories bldg., 1 underground), admin.bldg., multifunctional bldg. • To be finished May 2015, total cost 1,4 bil. CZK (VAT excl.)

Procurement of PW class laser Cutting edge 2-PW class 10 Hz repetition rate laser Based on DPSSL technology World leading parameters in output power and repetition rate „Workhorse“ of the ELI Beamlines facility Supplier: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, California, USA Participation of Czech scientists in the development team Contract to be signed June 2013
