  1. Less school hours By: Carlie & Dacota

  2. Pros • Students would be more willing to work if they weren’t there as long • Doing the same thing over and over again every day makes us care less, and less class hours would make us care more if we weren’t there as long

  3. Pros Continued • By the time we’re done with classes & after school activities, its to late and we’re too tired to complete our homework. Shortening school hours would get us home earlier and more time to do our homework

  4. We’ll be able to retain the same amount of material in 30 minutes compared to an hour. • A shorter day would leave us more time to enjoy our lives and not make us rush through activities and assignments

  5. The teacher normally doesn’t start teaching until 10 or 15 minutes into class anyways, so cut those minutes off and the students would get to class sooner and be ready to start and the teacher could just start the lesson.

  6. CONS • If our school days would be shorter, the school year would have to be longer and our breaks would probably be less and shorter too. • If the school year was longer they’d have to spend more money on lunch and keeping up the cleanliness of the school and lights and all that good stuff.

  8. As you can see the vast majority of students want shorter school days and even a few teachers.
