  1. WWI DBQ Issues Miss Buffalino

  2. Intro • Can not use any of the AP’s historical context. • First sentence should define WWI or explain it. • Thesis needs to have the date and the 3 groupings.

  3. CONTENT • Stop with the fluff! • Stick to chronological order. • Your groupings need to make sense and there needs to be a common thread. • GET TO THE POINT.

  4. Groupings • You can have two in a group, you can have four in a group, YOU CAN’T HAVE ONE ALONE IN A GROUP!

  5. Silly Things • Military is not the same as militarism • BIASED, many of you had poor grammar

  6. Document Citations • The reader should not have to look back at the document. • The alliance system was a major cause of WWI (Document A). The alliance map portrayed is from the perspective of a modern day cartographer. The map is biased because it does not include all of the countries that truly fought in WWI. • YOU CAN ONLY CITE ONE DOCUMENT AT A TIME. • Some people did (Documents 1, 2, 3, 4) • You can not repeat documents. • YOU MUST USE ALL DOCUMENTS.

  7. Missing Voice • Can not be anywhere in the DBQ • 3 DIFFERENT MISSING VOICES • Must be relevant • Women for their input on militarism makes no sense. • EXPLAIN WHY THE SOURCE IS NEEDED
