  3. Scouting in Kenya • Scouts make constructive contribution to society through various activities. These activities include;• Agricultural and food production • Promotion of proper nutrition • Literacy – Organizing and running literacy classes• Environmental Education such as Renewable energies programmes, Conservation• Reproductive Health - Prevention and fight against HIV/AIDS, drug abuse, child labor, gender violence.- Child and adolescent health• Physical development through Spots and Athletics• Scouting skills Acquisition of service skills like first aid, life skills e.g. Decision making, communication etc• Citizenship Promotion of Patriotism• Health and Sanitation  Integration and rehabilitation of the youth in difficult circumstances such as:- Street Children, Orphans, Refugees, Physically challenged.• Community service such as clean ups• Community projects such as Tree planting, Immunization, Poverty Alleviation through income generating projects.
