  29. Directions • You must complete this impact documentation during HE 350, the second health methods course. You will need to complete the form, upload the lesson plan, and upload samples of student work. You must receive a target or acceptable on this assignment in order to be cleared to student teach in health.

  33. Directions • For this course you are required to spend 2 hours with a practicing health educator or administrator in a P-12 school setting. I can provide you with a letter of authorization if necessary. The majority of the 2 hours should be spent observing the health educator or administrator teaching health courses or content, shadowing them for part of their workday, sitting in on health-related meetings, or interviewing them using the questions below. A rubric will be made available and discussed in class. You must attend a session at the Writing Center! You can bring in any part of your port that you need some extra assistance with. • Your portfolio needs to be uploaded to Taskstream and will contain the following: • Reflections (2) • Mini-papers (2) • Sample project • Resource mapping project • Parent letter • Log • Contact information • Group administration paper

Directions • In HED 400 you will set up a website using a platform like Google or Weeblyas a mock website that you might use to communicate with parents, other school personnel, and the public in the future. Your website needs to be easy to use, easy to read, and contain accurate information. This website needs to describe the NHES (perhaps a list with a few examples of how you would teach and assess each standard). It must also be interactive; for example, a parent checking out your website should be able to post a question on the website. You will need to keep this website active until after you graduate. You will upload the link to your website as well as a SMOG analysis of one page of the website that is content-rich.
