Building a new structure in Alabama mandates adherence to Title 34-2-32 of the Code of Alabama. A licensed architect is required for plans exceeding 2,500 square feet, while engineering services pertain to major systems like structural and fire protection. Understanding building and fire codes is crucial for safeguarding public health and safety. These codes ensure that structures are safe, secure, and functional for their intended use.
