Exploring My Identity Through Visual Symbols: A Personal Reflection

This project reflects my personality through carefully chosen images and symbols. The gradient overlay in my portrait enhances the emotion, emphasizing my eyes, which are often viewed as the “windows to the soul.” Books represent the depth of my character; while I may seem closed off at first, there is much more to discover beneath the surface. The stack of open books signifies the world of possibilities within each person, and my “Geek Glasses” embody my intellectual side. Lastly, the Chinese symbol for friendship underlines the importance of my friends in shaping who I am.

  2. Background Picture This is a picture of me. I used a gradient Overlay to get this effect. This picture represents me because it is a picture of me. (duhh I know) I really like this picture because it makes my eyes look Bigger and as the old saying goes “the eyes are the window to the soul” Photo Credit: Me

  3. Stack of books A stack of books represent me because at times I can be closed off and seem dull but once you get to know me you’ll find that that isn't necessarily true. In Photoshop I removed the white background And I inverted the picture so they would face different directions. Photo credit: Google images

  4. Middle stack of books This stack of open books symbolize me because A book can be a portal to a different world, but you would never know how amazing a book is Unless you read it. Same can be said for people. You’ll never know how great someone is until you get to know them. In Photoshop I removed the background from the Image. Photo Credit: Google Images

  5. “Geek Glasses” I chose “Geek Glasses” as a symbol to represent me because the glasses highlight my “Geek” side. And I am semi-blind so I need glasses In Photoshop I shrunk down the picture and removed the white background Photo Credit: Google Images

  6. Friendship This is the Chinese symbol for friendship. I used it in my Self portrait because friendship is very important to me, and my Friends have made me who I am today. In Photoshop I removed the background and made the image Smaller. Photo Credit: Google Images
