  2. Why it is Important? Every year people all over celebrate World Environment Day, with plans in mind to save earth and the environment. But sometimes we need to ask ourselves “will we really execute our plans?” The existence of nature is the proof of our own existence and everybody appreciates the existence of water, forest, animals, songbird, flora, and fauna, but unfortunately, these can be misused and end up being harmed.

Tips on How We Can Save the Earth • Think Before You Buy • Ask yourself if you really need that thing before purchasing it. • That dress or shirt may fit you well and is made of organic materials and natural dyes, but do you really need it? The most eco-friendly option would be to not buy it at all. • Basically, save the earth by reducing your consumption of things. Only purchase things that you really need.

  4. 2. Invest in a reusable water bottle • Acquiring a reusable water bottle would not only greatly reduce the amount of single-use plastic you use, but it would also save you money in the long run! If you’re concerned about the quality of your tap water, consider using a water filter.

  5. 3. Avoid Products with Microbeads • Facial scrubs and beauty products containing plastic microbeads were banned in the United States in 2015, but won’t be fully phased out until 2019. Read the labels when purchasing products and opt for ones that contain natural scrubbing ingredients like salt or sugar.

  6. 4. Buy Eco Friendly Things • Buy things made of non-toxic and/or recycled materials. And buy things that help to conserve water, energy, and other valuable resources. Avoid items with excess packaging, like packaging with large amounts of plastic.

As individuals we have the potential to make a big difference and together we can change the world.
