  4. Who We Are Team HOPE is a group of ordinary people who one day were forced to live every parent’s nightmare. They know the pain, fear, frustration and loneliness that comes with having a missing or sexually exploited child. With this knowledge and experience, they offer peer support to families of missing and sexually exploited children.

What We Do • Help families in crisis with a missing, sexually exploited, or recovered child as they handle the day-to-day issues of coping • Help provide peer support, emotional support, compassion, coping tools, empowerment and resources. • Help instill courage, determination and hope in parents and other family members. • Help provide resources and referral to FAD

Team HOPE Volunteer Trainings The goals for the training are: • Teach the role and responsibilities as a Team HOPE volunteer • Understand how Team HOPE and NCMEC operate • Resources • Skills and tools helpful in serving searching families • Feedback • Understand self-care • Identify secondary trauma and compassion fatigue

  12. Family Advocacy Outreach Network FAON is a referral network that provides sliding fee or pro bono services to parents and families of missing and sexually exploited children. FAON seeks professionals experienced in crisis management and family trauma who are willing to provide therapeutic services for these families.

Reunification Help Domestic Reunification Victim Reunification Travel Program Provides funds for international travel for a missing child’s parent or guardian to attend a custody hearing or be reunited with a child located in another country when the family cannot pay to travel. • Collaboration with the NRS and Greyhound buses • Provides mediation assistance with the child • Can help identify local resources available to the family.
