JUMS Summer Workshop Major Teaching Points (Topics) Training Plan Objectives • Intro to JUMS (for new instructors) • Changes to JUMS (Gracie’s slide) • Best Practices • Divide Instructors into Basic and Advanced • Update all instructors on new changes • Successful Completion of PE Training Resources Teaching/Learning Strategies • Computer from School/Work with power cords • JUMS User Guide/Training JUMS • Projector and Screen • Get Instructors excited about how much less time JUMS will now take them • Conduct a Practical Exercise on inputting class rosters. As of: 19 December 2019

JUMS Initiatives • Scheduled upgrades and changes to JUMS • Upgrade the Cadet Import functions • Released 3 Mar 16 • Removal of all property / property functions • This DOES NOT include Cadet uniforms • Scheduled for release 12 April16 • Removal of Cadet personal information / photos • Scheduled for release 12 April16

JUMS Initiatives • Fix Award name list • Eliminate Award Category List • Add Marksmanship Qualification Badges/Shoulder Cords/Unit Merit Devices/Arc Pins • Remove DA/Association Awards • Award credits – set default of all award credits to 0 – allow each instructor to independently determine credits • Update/change verbiage on Cadet Orders • Fix formatting/printing of Cadet Award Orders • Automatically generate Cadet Award Orders • Scheduled for release 30 Jun 16 Release will occur w/JUMS school year changeover on 1 Jul 16

JUMS Initiatives • Eliminate Event Name List • Allow events to be set-up in advance • Capability to enter a unique name for each event • Capability to export a list of Cadets attached to events • Capability to batch delete Cadets from events • Capability to change event category • Add a “Finalize Event” button • Archive events at the end of each JUMS school year when JUMS resets • Automatically generate Cadet Award Orders - Events • Scheduled for release 30 Jun 16 Release will occur w/JUMS school year changeover on 1 Jul 16

JUMS Initiatives • Add Cadet Challenge scorecards / Automate input of raw Cadet Challenge scores / Automate calculation of Cadet Challenge scores • Tentative release schedule 15 Sep 16 • Capability to print Cadet name file labels • Fix functionality of selected reports • Add new reports • Community Service Hours / Co-Curricular Activity Report/ CC Form 134-R (Cadet Certificate of Training) / Awards on uniform • Tentative release schedule 1 Oct 16 • Cadet Transfer – change function to “Request Cadet Transfer”
