  1. Blogs and vlogs By Lilli, Lisa, Kristina and Delia Areas of focus: Creative minds, Approach to learning Guiding question: What is a blog and a vlog what are the similarities and differences? Goal: To make a creative presentation about blogs and vlogs and make the audience learn something.

  2. What is a vlog? Vlog= video blog A vlog is similar to a blog and a website. A vlog is updated regullary. As we already said vlog means video blog, because a vlog contains mostly of videos. They share information by using videos. Some examples of vlogs are: Youtube, myvideo, clipish and google video even has his own vlog on blogspot.com.

  3. What is a blog? • A blog is a website which is updated regullary and mostly made by one person but can also made by many persons. It is about a special topic like recipes, diaries, hobbies, sport, online portfolio etc. On a blog you can write comments, view pictures and videos and read information. There are websites where you can create you own blog.

  4. History of vlogs • The vlog became very popular in Germany by 2004 after the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Because in many news, videos were shown that were not made by the news, they were from the Internet. Since then many people use vlogs in the Internet for entertainment. Today many people make videos of themselves by using web cams.

  5. History of blogs • The first blog was invented in the 1990. It was called online diary where they wrote what they done and what they want to do. 1996 they invented services like Xanga, where people could create their own blogs. ON the end of 1990th not many people got a blog, also by Xanga only 100 blogs in the year 1997, where they had in 2005= 20 million online blog user. IN 2004 more and more used blogs, also businesses used blogs to make advertisements, also a American dictionary publisher vote blogger to the word of the year 2004.

Differences between blogs and vlogs • A vlog only contains of videos and a blog contains of pictures, videos, text etc. • You can create a blog by your own for free, but if you want to create a vlog you need to buy a special vlog software. • On a vlog you can log in and put your own videos on the vlog, like youtube. But a blog mostly belongs to one person or a group of persons.

  7. Similarities between blogs and vlogs • You can post videos on both. • They both share information. • They can promote itselves. • They are updated regullary. • On both you can put advertisment like Google-Ads. • They can both make money.

  9. What are Forums? • A forum is a meeting piont to hald a discussion • The main object of an Forum is where people can ask questions. • There are literally tousends of topics for a online forum

  10. How do I use a forum? • Forums a used from forum to forum • Some forums are free and otheres have a paid membership. • Be sure that you read the privacy policy befor you leave a comment.

  11. Are there Rules for using a forum? • Normaly each forum has there on rules • Be sure that you read the details and consequenses before you a loggin a forum • The most forums dont allow to have flaming or being rude to other forum users.

  12. Can kids use forums? • There a many online forums specelly for kids. • This sids a sed up from aullts to help and seve kids for othere sids. • On this sids the kids can ask qustions and othere kids can say what they think.
