  1. Art Room Rules and Routines steps to daily success

  2. Enter quietly • Place all belongings on the floor or in locker. • Tardiness is not acceptable • Sign in if you are tardy or late with a pass

  3. Tardy: “Choose a chore” • To make up for being tardy you will do a simple chore for me. Find a good time to do it..not during instruction.

  4. Look at the projection screen • Look to the projection screen for daily • Bellwork: To be completed first 5 min. of class • Objectives: Goals of the day • Reminders: Due dates and event reminders

  5. Listen to the teacher for instructions • Show good listening behavior. • Raise your hand if you have a question or comment. • Overview of goals for the day • Demonstrations • Questions?

  6. Work Time • LITTLE to NO talking. (and of appropriate nature) • Remain in seat unless you have a good reason to be up. • Choosing not to work isn’t an option and will result in a referral. You must remain on task at all times. • Ipods/unpods allowed ONLY during work time. Don’t ruin it for everyone else. • No cell phones unless permission granted

  7. Clean Up (last 8-10 min) • Check back in any borrowed materials. • Put artwork away. • Make sure area is clean. • Push in chair.

  8. Dismissal • Do not wait by the door, remain in your seat. • On busy/messy days you will be dismissed by tables that are clean

  9. Evaluation • Following Instructions • Composition • Creativity • Work ethic

  10. Due Date Policy • Goal: Turn in on the last day I give you to work on the project. I will give you fair working. • Keep with the pace of the class. • Catch up before school, after school, seminar or during open studio night. • Failure to finish in a timely fashion will result in loss of points.
