  9. Section § 55040. District Policy for Course Repetition. • “This section currently addresses repetition of courses where substandard academic work has been recorded. Course Repetition • Repetition to alleviate substandard academic work (Grade = F, D, NP [no-pass]) • Repeat 1st time, but if grade = C or better, then student may not repeat the same course again except when: • Significant lapse of time requires repetition • Student petition extenuating circumstances • Policy may allow student to repeat 2 times if another substandard grade is received ASCCC Spring Plenary - April 17 2008 - 10am - 11:15am

Types of Courses Appropriate to the Associate Degree. “During the first phase of revisions to chapter 6, the language of this section was modified to limit the scope of subdivision (c) to English composition courses. However, it has been concluded that this was erroneous and that reading courses should also fall under that provision.   21. §58009 Application of Alternate Attendance Procedure for Independent Study, Work Experience and Certain Distance Education Courses “This section provides additional detail concerning the attendance accounting procedure to be used for independent study and work-experience courses.
