  1. Perspective of story telling KageGokin, Brandy Graham, Summer Garfield, Katie Riehl, uriahs smith, Jacob Phillips

  2. Thesis: It is through the perspective of story telling that the audience sees the Corleone family’s actions as justified and good, but if it was from another perspective, their actions would seem wrong and really awful.

  3. In the first scene when the paparazzi shows up and the Corleone’s break the camera but throw money on the ground. It makes us feel that they are decent people and not just bad, even though they broke the camera.

  4. When Sonny is with his family, at their house, he hides his family, all of the surroundings are very dark to stress how serious the assassination attempt of Vito are and how we should feel about it.

  5. When Luca Brasi is killed, he goes into the room with his killers, and through the way that everyone speaks the audience can tell that something is not right and that these guys are not who they claim to be.

  6. When Vito is about to get shot, the set up for the scene is very dark and slow, giving the viewers a sense of danger or that something is going to go wrong.

  7. When Michael is at the hospital, the scene is very slow and dark so that we can tell that something is wrong and when the police officer comes, we can tell that he is a crooked cop.

  8. When Michel kills Solozzo and the police captain at the restraunt. They were working with the other family and wronged the corleones. Also he punched Michel. This makes their murder seem justified.

  9. The perspective from which we view the film shapes what we see as good and bad. The actions of the Corleone family often seems better or justified because we see them as an innocent family. The actions of other families seem worse and unjustified because they’re shown as an enemy of the family.
