  1. Can the Alien Sinner commit adultery?

  2. How do we discover truth? • Is truth discovered by majority vote? • Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

  3. How do we discover truth? • Is truth discovered by majority vote? • Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. • The Lord’s church is not a democracy; the Lord’s church is a monarchy. • How does a monarchy and democracy differ? • Monarchy: no voting; all powers-executive, legislative, judicial are all invested in one man. • Democracy: people are represented, majority vote rules • In Monarchy: accept and enjoy; reject and be condemned

  4. How do we discover truth? • Is truth discovered by meanness? • Christ was crucified. • Matthew 27:22-23 Pilate saith unto them, What then shall I do unto Jesus who is called Christ? They all say, Let him be crucified. And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified. • Apostles were beaten. • Acts 5:40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles unto them, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

  5. How do we discover truth? • Is truth discovered by emotion? • Ezra 10:10-11 And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel. Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives. • Ezra 10:19 And they gave their hands that they would put away their wives; and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass. • Ezra 10:44 All these had taken strange wives: and some of them had wives by whom they had children.

  6. How do we discover truth? • Is truth discovered by emotion? • Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

  7. How do we discover truth? • Is truth discovered by emotion? • Matthew 10:34-37 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

  8. How do we discover truth? • Truth is discovered when God’s truthful nature is accepted and His word is then appropriately divided. • Titus 1:2 …God, who cannot lie… • 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

  9. How do we discover truth? • Truth has already been determined, but it is on us to discover it and accept it. • Psalm 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. • Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

  10. What does God see? • Is God’s vision and judgment limited only to His children? • What about under the Old law? • Amos 1:13 Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border.

  11. What does God see? • Is God’s vision and judgment limited only to His children? • What about under the Old law? • Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

  12. What does God see? • Is God’s vision and judgment limited only to His children? • What about under the Old law? • Jeremiah 16:17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

  13. What does God see? • Is God’s vision and judgment limited only to His children? • What about under the law of Christ? • 2 Corinthians 5:10-11 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

  14. What does God see? • Is God’s vision and judgment limited only to His children? • What about under the law of Christ? • Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

  15. What makes a sinner a sinner? • A sinner is defined as a man or a women transgressing the law of God. • Romans 5:13 … sin is not imputed when there is no law. • Sin is on no one’s ledger, on no one’s account, when there is no law • Sin cannot be declared upon one if there is no law that defines one being in sin

  16. What makes a sinner a sinner? • A sinner is defined as a man or a women transgressing the law of God. • Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. • There was a time when Paul was not accountable to God’s law • When Paul became accountable, he realized his sin because of God’s commands and recognized he was dead spiritually

  17. What makes a sinner a sinner? • A sinner is defined as a man or a women transgressing the law of God. • 1 John 3:4 … for sin is the transgression of the law.

  18. What is the purpose of God’s law? • God’s law is intended to correct the unrighteous so that they may become righteous. • Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; • 1 Timothy 1:9-11 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

  19. What is the purpose of God’s law? • Because Christ will judge the world, God commands all men everywhere to repent: • Acts 17:30-31 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

  20. What is the purpose of God’s law? • What is the standard of judgment that Christ will use to judge the world? • Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. • John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

  21. What if someone never obeys any of Christ’s words? • Christ’s words will still be used to judge him. • John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

  22. Which words are the words of Christ? • Those spoken by Him during His earthly ministry and those given through inspiration. • John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

  23. Why are the words of Christ so important? • Christ’s words will be used as the standard of judgment to all those who must repent. • Acts 17:30-31 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. • John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

  24. What is the purpose of God’s law? • Those that do God’s law are considered righteous while those that do not do God’s law are considered unrighteous. • 1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. • Psalm 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
